James addresses arrogant merchants, rich oppressors, and the faithful oppressed, and reminds them all of the justice and compassion of God, who will make all things right at the coming of Christ. In this final chapter of Hosea we are forced to contemplate Israel's predicament, God's character and his incredible offer of forgiveness. His love and justice are right for all those who walk in His ways and yet a stumbling block to those who reject His mercy.
