Jesus, with all that he had, humbled himself to serve the world and reconcile it to God. In the same way, we are to be active in serving, passive in self-promoting, allowing the gospel to show it's fruit in our lives.
Pauls great hopes for the Philippians and therefore, Gods word to us, is that we be partners in the spread of the gospel and a community shaped by truth and love.
Acts 9 describes Saul's dramatic conversion to The Way' (see v.2). While some elements of his conversion are unique, others are essential for all Christians: (i) an encounter with the risen Christ, (ii) surrender to Jesus as Lord, and, (iii) service in the community of Christ.
